Abstract

Coffee is one of the agricultural sub-sector crops which has a large role in the economy in Indonesia. However, based on BPS data for 2017-2021, coffee productivity in Indonesia experienced a decline in 2019. The factor causing this decline in coffee production was due to pest attacks on coffee plants. A problem often encountered by coffee farmers is the attack of Plant Pest Organisms (OPT). The presence of pests attacking coffee plants has resulted in the emergence of several control methods, one of which is using the IPM (Integrated Pest Management) method. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) using biological control agents can use natural enemies in the form of black ants (Dolichoderus sp.). In this study, research was conducted using treatment A (leaf type) and treatment B (number of mealybugs). The results of this research show that applying treatment for the number of mealybugs to artificial nests of black ants greatly influences the number of black ants, especially in the imago phase, because the more 2 mealybugs applied, the more honeydew produced as food for black ants and the colonization of black ants will increase.
